Im afraid there are no future plans for an ongoing Packard Bell forum.

  • Oh well I guess we'll just have to soldier on sans PB. Don't think there'll be much support for my old dust gathering P2 Platinum 2010 even if it is in mint.
  • thats a bugger. i had real problems recently tring to find drivers for an old imedia. eventually got them on the nec site. such a shame really, i had some great fun there
  • Agree with you there Chelle. T'was a good forum and I picked up lots of info from the peeps when I was finding my way into PCs. Had a lot of laffs too even if there was the odd t***t.
  • Had a lot of laffs too even if there was the odd t***t

    i had most of my laughs at the expense of those twats. Chris was one as i recall, stroppy little git kicking off cos he couldnt find drivers for his rebadged camera <!-- s:lol: -->:lol:<!-- s:lol: -->

    and Tristian, he was a riot <!-- s:lol: -->:lol:<!-- s:lol: -->

    and the enormous success of the audio dream <!-- s:lol: -->:lol:<!-- s:lol: -->

    it was xmas when i joined and it was shut, fortunately there was a MINCE link in one of your links, maybe Richards or Petes and that took me to Richards forum where i found a bunch of old reprobates <!-- s:lol: -->:lol:<!-- s:lol: --> . PBF was my first forum and Richards got me addicted. that was nearly 10 years ago. makes me quite sad that PBF is gone now, reminds me of those we've lost along the way.

    does V know about this place Chris?
  • I think V knows Chelle <!-- s;-) -->;-)<!-- s;-) --> I imported his account over from the old place, but he's not been on as yet <!-- s;-) -->;-)<!-- s;-) -->
    PBF was good times. Remember that guy on holiday in the Switzerland, who was giving Edward66 abuse. I traced him to his hotel via IP and frightened seven bells out of him when I also told him his home address LMAO.
    Oh and the DSG hacker I traced and got him sacked, and then published the apology DSG head quarters sent me <!-- s:lol: -->:lol:<!-- s:lol: --> <!-- s:lol: -->:lol:<!-- s:lol: --> <!-- s:lol: -->:lol:<!-- s:lol: -->

    Tristain was a real scream, and so easy to wind up LOL
    Believe it or not, I still have the last Emails from Ken, and also the ones from Pete <!-- s:cry: -->:cry:<!-- s:cry: -->
    Sure was good times on there <!-- s;-) -->;-)<!-- s;-) -->
  • i still have Petes mobile number on my phone. got a new number recently but still put Petes on it.

    Tristian wasnt so bad in the end, just young. the audio dream xmas was hilarious though, so many whingers in such a small place <!-- s:lol: -->:lol:<!-- s:lol: -->
  • Yeah, I was "Mr Audiodream" at one point LOL
    Trip down memory lane:

    Ah the purple place to be seen LOL
  • Think we still have the last laugh 'cos now all PB buyers have got is 'The Tech Guys' Whom I suspect all came from the same village where they took it in turns to be 'Idiot'. I think their job sheets have only one sentence on it.... 'Re-format'. 'That'll be £30 please.'
  • I had forgotten the Audiodream xmas. Mind you, I forget most things nowadays.
    I now remember that Chris provided a helluva lot more info than PB did. However, some of the questions asked were soooo stupid.
  • Ah but just think Ian. Those stupid questioners made the rest of us appear knowledgeable <!-- s:lol: -->:lol:<!-- s:lol: -->
  • Hey, they made me sound clever, so they must have been dumb.
    Just flicked through my old backups, and look who I found LOL
    Good old Tristian <!-- s:lol: -->:lol:<!-- s:lol: -->
  • WOW Just found this too
    <!-- s:cry: -->:cry:<!-- s:cry: --> <!-- s:cry: -->:cry:<!-- s:cry: --> <!-- s:cry: -->:cry:<!-- s:cry: -->
  • <!-- s:lol: -->:lol:<!-- s:lol: --> i dont remember that pic of tristian <!-- s:lol: -->:lol:<!-- s:lol: --> , he looks exactly how i'd imagined, little geek <!-- s:lol: -->:lol:<!-- s:lol: -->

    that is a lovely picture of Pete and Mo. there were pics of all of us on Richards. i remember being surprised at the pic of Bob cos i always imagined that he really did look like yo samity sam <!-- s:lol: -->:lol:<!-- s:lol: -->
  • i also remember being really surprised at what a big man Pete was cos i'd imagined him, from that pic, to be my dads size and build (my dad is 5"6 ) but he was a big lad.
  • I still have that picture of Pete.
  • have you got the one of Bob?
  • These are the ones I have to date. There are more on one of my backup drives, so I'll have a look later <!-- s;-) -->;-)<!-- s;-) -->
  • <!-- s:lol: -->:lol:<!-- s:lol: --> damn i was skinny then <!-- s:lol: -->:lol:<!-- s:lol: -->
  • I'm sorry Chelle, I lost the one of Bob when the PB totally crashed. I couldn't retrieve anything and had to rely on Chris's small store of pictures.
