Kind of managed to get on but don't exactly know how. Some I try to get in to say I haven't permission so don't understand
When I tried to get to the forum yesterday, I seemed to connect as a forum admin or owner. Without realising, I may have changed a couple of settings. That view of the forum has now disappeared. Hope I've not screwed anything up.
If all the messages/discussions are simply lumped together, irrespective of general categories as we had previously, then I can see this becoming totally unusable in a matter of days.
Tiny writing in pale grey on white for message dates etc is almost unreadable.
So far, I really do NOT like it, though it's possible it'll grow on me later...
Yes @Parky54 , for some reason it made you an admin. All sorted now, and permissions should start to work properly now too

Was very frustrating when the forum first came back, which led to me doing some grumbling, but I figured it was growing pains. This new look and format will take some getting used to, but in a short time it will become normal and we will forget about it. Thanks for all the hard work Chris!!
Thanks for sorting everything Chris, my permissions are working now.
It seems to be working more smoothly now, and I'm finding my way around better. My earlier grumbles are largely withdrawn.
Trust me, we are all in the same boat, finding our way round (me included). Sadly the forum stopped working, thanks to some board kid in Russia (or the likes), who trashed the files in a hack. This forum software package is highly rated, and far more stable. So fingers crossed, it should resolve a lot of previous issues too
What happened to the gallery were all those photos lost in the hack?

No Dave. Go to categories and then select.
Select what? There's nothing there that says gallery.

Sadly, the galleries could not be transferred over. But I'm working on things today, so forums may move about a bit. What things are saying you have no permissions @Chris Gossop ?
