Forum clean up and arrangement

edited January 1970 in Announcements
Had a bit of a clean up of the forum categories. All none photography chat boards are now in their own category (Off topic and general chat), rather than being in "Photography Discussion".
Also working on an uploaded image display system, but not sure how that will pan out. It displays latest images uploaded as thumbs, and can also display random images. Example Here <!-- l -->gal.php<!-- l -->

One other thing is image visibility. As it stands, any image uploaded to the site, can't be seen buy guests or bots etc. I feel this is a much better for members, as it stops stuff getting randomly nicked for the hell of it. Do we want to keep things this way, or are people wanting their stuff to be displayed in public?

 • In the lights of events where some people have had images stolen I think this is the way forward. I <!-- s:smile: -->:smile:<!-- s:smile: -->
 • my thinking exactly. It' s not going to stop someone signing up to nick stuff. But because the images will never show up in any search engine results, it's not going to be a sauce of images in the first place <!-- s:mrgreen: -->:mrgreen:<!-- s:mrgreen: -->
 • This is a great idea. I was a victim of this and its not nice. <!-- s;-) -->;-)<!-- s;-) -->
 • I decided to hide images from guests from day 1 Mand. It stops the sites uploaded images being shown to anybody passing through, just looking for images. It is possible to give search engine bots access to images, but that would then mean that the likes of google etc display the images in searches. At least a total lock-down means they will never show up anywhere, apart from here <!-- s:mrgreen: -->:mrgreen:<!-- s:mrgreen: -->
