In an attempt to make the transition from MFP to here a little easier, I switched off an anti-spam feature. While I was at it, I also switched off your ability to post LOL. Welcome to my world of fat finger button pressing  :)) :)) :))

Hi,
Newly registered migrant from MFP.  No problems registering, much more efficient than the Passport Office!  ;)
Looking forward to getting to know the ropes and participating.

Thanks Chris for the heads up.

If I'm not mistaken, Marc Horner has an account on here. Totally my fault with the not showing post buttons LOL. Just wanted to make things a bit easier for you guys who may not be used to forum software, but made it even harder in the process LOL

You are welcome Jim. As I said on MFP, I don't mind if people simply use here to keep in touch. Many on here are none photography people, who simply keep in touch from previous forums we were members of. Sometimes having a none photographers view of an image is better anyway, because it takes the technical element out of feedback  :)

Hi new people and welcome.   Hope to be seeing some photos.
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to his country for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.'

Hello Chris.

Another migrant from Fuji MFP. I'm hoping we can resume our daily/weekly challenges here once MFP closes.

Yes, the challenges will be fired up as soon as they are needed. I have a plan which may make them a little easier. If you click on the "Gallery" tab, at the top of the forum, you will already see members exhibition and BW exhibition galleries are up and ready ;-) You can upload your favourite images straight to the gallery of your choice, and we can then run voting polls to select winners etc. May need to iron out a few details, because it is slightly different to how they were done on MFP. But we have a few weeks to work on that side of things ;-)

Hi, I have just joined. Thanks Chris for letting me know it was here.  Great to see some familiar faces,  I have to get my head around this, but I will be adding photos when I do.
