Good luck John.
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to his country for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.'

Try and use your photography as a way of getting away from all the other stuff. It doesn't matter if the pictures are good or bad, it's just being outside and walking about with the wonderful world of wildlife going on around you.

Good luck John.

Good luck John, as Kev says its a good to have your camera with you when out and about, and to just shoot what you see that attracts you.
Failure is a privilege reserved only for those who try.

Agree with all the above John. You need to re-define your priorities. There's a beautiful world out there just waiting for that click.
