Either next week, or the week after (depending on which week I get off work) I will be doing some maintenance and general cleaning up of the forums. This will mean I will be merging a few of the forum sections, that are not as widely used as others, as well as doing all the usual general housekeeping one the database and files that keep it running.
There shouldn't be any disruption to service, but it may seem a little slow for the odd 30 min slots, as I backup and clean up etc. I usually do this through the night, so it shouldn't really effect anybody ;). I'll update this thread as soon as I know I'm going to be doing it, so people don't think their PC's are going a bit screwy  ;) It should make the forums a little less cluttered, and the main page a little easier not navigate. Don't panic though, no posts will be lost, they will just be shuffled in to the appropriate sections of the forum ;-)

I don't even think it was site maintenance. I think it was just crashing.

:)) I can count on one hand, the number of times this site has been down like MFP was, and it's been going 3 years longer than MyFinepix. Their "site maintenance" wasn't actually site maintenance. It was a default page that loaded when their server couldn't handle the load it was getting. And that's what you get when you try to make a site do too much, without having the resources to handle it  ;)

We don't need to panic, Chris has assured me that he has hired a nice Polish coder called Mr Strona Jest to do all future maintenance while he's working.  ;D :)) :)) >:D

All posts from the "Nudes" and "Studio" forum sections, have now been moved and merged in to the "Portrait Photography" section. Had some free time on my hands this afternoon, so made a start on cleaning things up ;)
