As I was reminded by Richard (the sane), the fresh install and software means we can finally run the forum app "ForumRunner", which is one of the most popular forum viewing apps there is. So I've installed and registered the forum this morning, and the app is now up and running
Just search for "Chat Photography" in forum runner

It has some very bad feedback Chris.   I had no problem finding the forum without it.
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to his country for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.'

I've used tapatalk before, and while it functions, it is also very poorly supported by the developers, conflicts with just about any modification to the basic phpbb code, has been know to cause SERIOUS security problems (both for server and users alike), and was generally an absolute pain in the ass to work with.
I raised a ticket with tapatalk support, regarding a security bug in their supplied code. It took 17 days to get a reply, and even then it wasn't one of their official team, just another user.

The forum still works fine via mobile style or default style etc. It's just that some prefer to use an app, and forumrunner has been the most requested over the last couple of years.

Tapatalk did have some problems in the past but they seem to be ok now. Updates are regular enough and the support board is pretty good. Installation is just one folder upload and it's much more popular with users than forumrunner. I've only seen one bug in the last 2-3 years which involved the date stamps on new posts done with the app but they fixed it quite quickly. There was a patch up within a few days.

In reality though, most smartphones nowadays render web pages with no problems so I think things like that will gradually drop off the radar for users.
