Author Topic: Little network outage  (Read 1327 times)

Hosts have just had to change a network switch, due to a hardware fault. Think it's only been down 10 mins, but may flicker for a bit, while the network settles down again ;-)

They had replaced a failed network switch in the data centre, which seemed to have a knock-on effect. To be honest, it's very rare we have down time like that. But when it has happened in the past, they have always been lightening fast to get it sorted. It helps that everything is UK based (well Scotland, so we have to jump over the wall :)) ) and not overseas, as they are only a quick phone call away O0

I can't recommend the hosting company I use, enough. Their support and speed in resolving issues, is second to none IMHO. And their prices are also very good.
Just to update, it seems the network switch was only a side effect, as they have had to switch to a backup network router, after one of the main ones has failed  ;)

Just click on the smilie and it will go into your text where the carat is.
