I've switched the tapatalk app back on for mobile users. Mobile device users can either browse the forum using the standard mobile device detection, or download the Tapatalk app

Strange???? Tapatalk isn't installed as such on a forum. All you do is upload a folder, with the tapatalk files in, and tapatalk does the rest :? I don't have the app myself, so can't test it as yet, but I will look in to this, and see what the issue is ;-)

Raising a support ticket with Tapatalk now, so they can look in to what is causing the problem.
One solution that they say may work, is to search for the forum on tapatalk, and login via the search link ;-) If you search for "photography forums", our icon is a yellow "M" and name "Photography forums".

Hmm, while waiting for tapatalk to look at this, I've just changed a few file permissions. Give that a go and see if it has made any difference ;-)

It may well be that the mobile detection and tapatalk can't work together, though I don't see why that should be the case. I'll wait on Tapatalk guys having a look, and see if they can find any conflicts.
Just in case they ask, can you give me a few details such as your current app version, phone type, and it's OS version ;)

Just as a trial, I've swapped the latest files of Tapatalk, for the one I used before v30-1-6-0. See if that makes any difference ;-)

Right, so it's a conflict between tapatalk and either the mobile detection, or one of the other mods we have installed.
Thanks for trying it Garry ;)

It seems to be a permissions conflict with tapatalk and modified phpbb3 boards, as there are a few reporting similar issues, all with different fixes. Tapatalk support seems a bit slow, so may be a few days before I can get it fully working ;-) BUT I will get it working, cos I don't do things that don't work LMAO

Its not just with  login, even when you browse to a topic when your not logged in it resricts you from seeing it

Just changed where the script loads from, so can you give it another try ;-)
Bloody official support for their product is appalling 6 hours so far, and not even an activation confirmation has come through yet

LOL I have a sneaky suspicion that it has something to do with the added security mods etc on here. I've read though god knows how many previous instances of tapatalk causing the same problems on other boards now. In fact, I've also found some rather worrying stories (which are true) of tapatalk breaching forums permissions and security. It's mainly on vbulletin boards where the security has been breached, but there are also some phpbb3 forums too. I know the tapatalk app is good and safe, BUT if it puts a degree of risk in to the file system, I'd rather not continue with it.
I have been looking at modifying the mobile device skin and pages, which will make it much more user friendly (as well as look more like main forum). So if you fancy giving me as much feedback on want's/needs for the mobile system, feel free to list away

Ok I would like the buttons like new posts, unread posts In big buttons across the top. When you click on the thread I would like it to go to the last unread post. and at the bottom to scroll thru the pages I would like big arrows so easy to click on
