I've added the Wooden spoon challenge as a forum sponsor here. This is to highlight the work the two guys I know (Graeme and Brian, left and right on the banner), put in to this charity. In August, these guys will be doing 853 miles, Land's End to John o'Groats, in 7 days :o
This is one of a number of challenges they have done, and no doubt there will be more in the future. These guys both taught my kids at Towngate Primary school, which is challenging enough IMHO LOL But seriously, these guys are dedicated to both the education and well being of children, which to me deserves some publicity and respect ;)

I would do it myself, but sadly I think my fitness levels are limited to driving the distance LOL

Wouldn't even want to drive it now Chris.

More power to their elbows.
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to his country for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.'

Just a little update on these guys. Sadly Graeme (guy on left of banner), was hit by a van last night while training, resulting in a broken fibulae and clavicle, as well as a few other injuries. So dedicated is this guy, that today he says he's still hoping to be ready for the race on the 20th August  Now there is a guy who has really put himself through hell and back, to raise funds for this charity ;)
