Author Topic: New image search feature  (Read 382 times)

Just added a new search feature to the profile page. It allows you to search/view peoples image attachments on the forum, making it easier to look back at others images, or find ones you wish to view again

All you do is view the users profile, and you will see:
Quote
Total attachment posts: xxx  Search user’s attachments

Click on that, and you then get to view all posts with images attached

This may come in handy for something I will announce later this week ;)

That's a ruddy good idea Chris.
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to his country for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.'

There is a second part to it, that lets you search for posts where images have been embedded, using the img tags. This works OK, but it causes a bit of confusion if a member has used a mobile device to post. That's because the img tags are used to put the little mobile icon at the bottom of their posts. I'm going to customise the mobile posting script, so it just says (mobile device) rather than adding the little image. That way you can search for both attached and/or embedded images in the forum, as I know many (Karl for example) host the images themselves, rather than uploading ;-)
