This Morning, Dr Craig Shuttleworth brought me round a copy of the Red Squirrel Conservation Book.  ISBN 978-0-954757-62-5 which has my Red Squirrel photograph as it's cover......feeling chuffed at my first "published" photo.   :D

Congratulations Steve! Looks great in print, probably the best cover they've ever had and to be credited with taking the pic too, fantastic.  :-*

Very cute picture. Was it taken in the wild? We are a bit short of these beasts up here now, maybe due to the grey rats pinching all their food!

Hello George.  Yes it was taken in the wild, Newborough Forest here on Anglesey.  We have about 8 running around now and they are spreading over the Island having got rid of all the Greys.  There is a watch-out and any greys spotted are dealt with.....not by me, couldn't do that.  Also, if we find a dead Red, we hand it into the guy in charge and he checks for illness etc.  Most are Road-Kill..... :'(  See:  http://discoveranglesey.com/outdetails/3940-Red-Squirrel-Trust-Wales

Happy Christmas George.... :-*
