In the top right corner, when someone sends you a PM, or replies to one of your threads, there will be a little notification pop up in real time :)

Cheers Chris, I'll look out for that.
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to his country for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.'

You only really notice it if you are online at the time of someone posting. Notification will popup for 20 seconds, before vanishing again  ;) Just seemed a handy little feature, so will see what people think of it ;-)

Yep, seems to be working OK :) May extend the display time a little too. It also pops up to inform you of new replies to your threads and PM's, when you first login too O0

It's quite a server hungry feature, which currently has no user options to enable/disable or sound on/off. However, there are plans to add these options, as well as a much less server hungry method of pulling the notifications ;). The test was basically to see how heavy the server load was, and if it was viable to code in to the mobile version, as a kind of notification/push message ;)
Once the user options have been sorted out, I think it will be good to go O0
