The forums will be having a serious re-vamp over the next few weeks, with the major changes hopefully going live by the end of next week. This major change will require a small amount of down time (around 2-3 hours), while all data is transferred to the new....... Ooops, I nearly gave the game away then
Anyway, I have to say, personally, the changes coming, are a great improvement in user experience. They hopefully improve on a lot of minor issues, as well as adding some nice cosmetic and functional options to the forums. I will give a good 24 hours notice, before the forum down time, so people don't panic LOL

2 to 3 HOURS.   What are we supposed to do in the time?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to his country for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.'

You can always take the dog for a drag or if you're really stuck a bit of M&S time with Paula?

If my plans and timing go well, you will all be tucked up in bed, when the down time happens
To give you a little clue, it looks like we will be going to a .com and .co.uk matching domain, as our main web address. I will let everybody know the new domain, once I've finalised everything ;-) Don't worry though, you won't have to change anything, cos I will make sure all old addresses go straight to the new ones, so fav's and links etc with photography-forums.co.uk will still work. I've had a testing/development site running for a few weeks now, on www.photography-forum.eu , where you can also get an idea of how the new forum software and setup looks. Option will also be there to change back to a darker appearance like this one, if you prefer it ;-) It is much more mobile friendly, much much faster loading, better for smaller screens, has options to also view full screen images, and posts with more than 1 image can be viewed as a slideshow. On the whole, it is more image friendly, and makes for far easier viewing etc.

The domains www.chat-photography.com and www.chat-photography.co.uk will soon be forming a part of the new site and forums development :-) All being well, the new software and developments will be fired up by the end of next week. Lots of work to do though, to make sure the dual domains work together correctly ;-)
