Hi everyone! I just joined last night. (Apologies in advance, if I do anything wrong on here, still learning how the site works!) But this seems like an awesome place for Photographers. I'm loving the idea of daily/montly challenges, and cannot wait to try them out for myself.

I guess some info about me:
My real name is Thalia, and I'm from the UK. I've always loved taking pictures, but only just got serious about it a year and a half ago, when I bought my Sony Alpha NEX-5. I currently use a Canon EOS 760D with a Macro 18-135mm lens (and a 50mm lens, also) which I got end of last year. I've currently got 370 photos sitting in a folder, that I took with my Canon camera, not including the ones that are on my camera still, and the ones which have been deleted. And certainly not including the 100's of photos I took with my Sony camera. I'm wanting Photography to be my career; I'm always researching stuff about it, and I'm constantly practicing taking photos, and learning new techniques. I'm mostly interested in Nature and Animal Photography, I'm always snapping pictures of my pets, and plants and bugs etc in my garden. I also love working with kids in Photography, I usually get pictures of my 8 year old Nephew when he visits, which is fun. He either poses for the camera, or hides from it, depending on what mood he's in bless him :) and I recently took photos of a family friends son, who is 3 years old, I think, who loved posing and smiling at the camera.  I'm currently researching working in newborn photography, which sounds like a challenge, but also looks fun and rewarding.

I'm always accepting messages. And am always up for a chat. Everyone seems friendly here, it looks like a nice community  :D thank you <3

Hi Thalia and welcome to the forum.   Look forward to seeing some of your photos.
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to his country for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.'
