That's a cracker Mark.   Let's see some more. :)
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to his country for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.'

I hope to one day check out an air show myself. What lens would you recommend?

It looks like people do well with 300mm on crop bodies, but I used the Sigma 50-500mm...was very heavy, but bearable. Loved it, and quality was good, I think (despite user error!)

John, I used a 70-200mm with a 1.4x extender and that was fine for shots over the runway but did struggle when they were on the far end or very high, again on a crop sensor.
I really do reccomend you go next year well worth the money just to see the vulcan.

Indeed, and with the Vulcan apparently saved until 2015, it could REALLY be the last chance...:(

I used to fish at Richmond lakes in Hykeham during the early 80s and many a time the Vulcans flew directly overhead, But i've never seen one thrown about like they did sunday, couldn't believe a plane like that could be so agile.

up until I got the 300mm I was using a 80-700 m42 lens so hopefully I can get better results with my 300mm if I work at it.
