I stuck around right until the very end at Waddington, which proved to be well worth it. We got a hint of it while the Red Arrows were on but getting the dark clouds behind well lit craft really make the last hour worthwhile for me.

Sea King - Last year displaying

Hawker Hunter - Low & Fast

English Electric Canberra

Not as dramatic lighting, but nice to see them in very close formation

And one of the reds

Cheers folks. Would have loved the good light all day - got a lot of disappointing shots

I was there on the Sunday too mate. Didn't head towards the car until about 6.25pm!

That dark sky certainly makes a good backdrop for you pics.  Makes a nice change from bright, blown out whites or dark, underexposed planes!

I love the middle shot, the Canberra on its own - fabulous lighting on the aircraft!
When I was at school, they were refurbishing Canberras at the BAC site just over the hill, for sale to Argentina. Every so often the windows would rattle and shake as one flew over. Kept getting told off for not paying attention to the teacher  ;D
