So we went to our local stately home again on Sunday. The Spitfire was still there, so I got some more shots, from a slightly different angle.

I resisited the temptation to do some over-cooked HDR, but these are still 7 bracketed shots blended in Photoshop (so, they are HDR).

Your thoughts, as ever, good and bad, will be appreciated, although my main focus is on the composition and framing. What do you think to that?

No1 is good IMO. I can picture it against a dawn sky. No2 is a bit samey so I wonder what a head-on or slightly angled shot would look like. One thing makes me wince a bit is the build quality of what is a beautifully streamlined aircraft in reality. Even so I can appreciate the effort that went into its construction.

Thanks.

In the second I was deliberately going for an angle not normally seen. But it does look a little strange, yes.

The construction is like it is because this is only a "model". Whilst it contains some original pieces, they are from several different aircraft. This has no engine.
It also comes to pieces for transport...
